Planetly is a climate action and carbon management company. Its software helps businesses calculate and track their carbon footprints, analyze emissions, plan reductions and offsets, and manage environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.

Our engagement

DeviQA took responsibility for the agreed Planetly testing scope, including test documentation, manual testing, and test automation.

DeviQA manual QA engineers created and maintained test cases, tested the front-end and back-end components, and documented defects. Cross-browser testing covered the application’s behavior across supported browsers. Team members also developed ownership of specific product areas.

DeviQA built a WebdriverIO and TypeScript test automation solution for Planetly. The team developed and maintained smoke and regression suites, supported the transition to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and configured end-to-end test pipelines for preview, staging, and production environments.

Manual QA engineers and automation specialists coordinated with developers and other stakeholders to maintain test coverage, update automated suites, and align testing with product changes.

DeviQA built Planetly’s test automation solution from scratch using WebdriverIO and TypeScript. The team developed 400+ end-to-end tests covering approximately 80% of the application and integrated them into the CI/CD pipeline to accelerate repeat test execution.
