About our client

MoneyGate offers an efficient and cost-effective way for corporate and individual clients to transact securely through the company’s proprietary web and mobile portals.

The platform provides multi-currency accounts with individual IBANs, payments through SEPA and SWIFT, and debit cards for global transactions and contactless payments.

The challenge

MoneyGate was building a new mobile app that had to work as a natural extension of its web banking solution. For a financial product, every release had to be reliable, but testing was performed by the product owner, who had a bulk of other responsibilities. MoneyGate needed independent, structured QA to make sure the app met its requirements before reaching customers.

Without DeviQA

  • Testing handled solely by the product owner

  • No independent check of features against requirements

  • Risk of defects reaching customers

With DeviQA

  • A dedicated QA Engineer tested the app at every development stage

  • Every implemented feature was validated against the defined requirements

  • More than 40 issues found and fixed before the release

Our engagement

Our QA Engineer joined the project to take testing off the product owner’s shoulders and make quality a built-in part of every sprint:

  • 1. Testing in every sprint: New functionality was tested as soon as it was implemented, across all stages of development.
  • 2. Validation against requirements: Each feature was checked against the agreed requirements and designs before it was accepted.
  • 3. Bug reporting and verification: Issues were reported in Jira with clear reproduction steps and re-tested after each fix.
  • 4. Release support: Together with the client, QA supported the release process to ensure a smooth app launch.
