A/B testing

What is A/B testing?

A/B testing is a method within software testing and experimentation used to compare two versions of a product or feature — version A (control) and version B (variation) — to determine which one performs better based on specific metrics.

Purpose: To make data-driven decisions that enhance user experience, increase engagement, or improve other key performance indicators (KPIs) in software products.

How it works:

1.

Define what you want to test and what outcome you expect.

2.

Create two versions – version A (control) and version B (variation).

3.

Randomly split your audience into two groups, each exposed to one version.

4.

Monitor user behavior and collect data (e.g., clicks, sign-ups, purchases).

5.

Compare performance to determine which version is more effective.
