Black box testing

What is black box testing?

Black box testing is a software testing method where the tester evaluates the functionality of an application without knowing its internal structure, code, or logic. The tester focuses solely on the inputs and expected outputs of the system, ensuring that the software behaves as expected based on its specifications.

This type of testing is useful for validating the end-user experience and testing the system's performance, security, and functionality under different conditions. Since testers are unaware of the inner workings of the system, this approach mimics how a real user would interact with the software. Examples of black box testing techniques include functional testing, system testing, and acceptance testing.
